Evidence of the effectiveness of physical exercise in treating and preventing diseases are innumerable.

Gabriel (2003) was able to prove that training sport reduces the risk of developing coronary heart disease by 60%. There are also primary prevention of type II diabetes mellitus, hypertension and metabolic syndrome.

Braumann (2003) stated that movement therapy leads to a normalization of the altered metabolic processes, reduces insulin resistance, decreases blood pressure and leads to an improvement and prevention of heart failure (most mental illnesses and delays in osteoporosis).

Deibert (2003) demonstrated a significant reduction in the risk of a heart attack to be at least 10%. Physical exercise has a positive effect in preventing the most common cause of death in the Western world (coronary heart disease).

Electrofitness is increasingly more seen like an alternative way to treat pain, a therapy and a recover from several lesions and injuries


You can use electrostimulation for many pains.

Those can be back pain, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, neck pain, foot pain, ankle pain, multiple sclerosis, and sciatica.

Treating pain with a muscle stimulator is called transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS): a pain management therapy used since the late 1960s. It consists on using low-voltage electric currents to treat pain and it’s used clinically by a significant number of healthcare professionals to reduce pain. 

However, you have to be monitored by a medicine professional that knows how to use a muscle stimulator. Equally, using an EMS equipment to treat pain shouldn’t be hurting, it should help to a faster recovery

Anyway, you must be advised by a therapist who knows and can explain how you should use electrical muscle stimulation in your case. 

As a matter of fact, the best way to relieve a pain is to prevent it.

So, you have to know where does your pain come from, and if you have a disease, a doctor could give you some contraindications. And then, you can decide whether you use a muscle stimulator or not. 

Be careful, we do not cure the source of the pain or the underlying problem with electrostimulation. However, it is true that according to studies, it helps to relieve pain in the short term.
